Robot log data ownership: what the fleet and simulation platforms keep
Updated
A robot's logs pass through a fleet tool, a viewer or a simulator, and each one's terms decide what it may do with them. These are the clauses we found.
Who owns the logs?
14 of 22 platforms say the customer owns its data. InOrbit's terms keep robot data with the customer but give InOrbit the Service Data derived from it, which InOrbit may use for any purpose whatsoever.

Which platforms keep aggregated use?
12 of 22 do. Intrinsic may use Systems Data derived from a customer's content only when aggregated so the content is not identifiable, and ABB may make commercial use of Your Content to the extent it is anonymized.

Who may train models on the logs?
4 platforms' terms allow it, Foxglove and Formant among them, and 2 rule it out: Rerun writes that it does not use customer data to train AI or machine-learning models.

Whether the logs can leave at all is on robotics company acquisition, and who takes them is on robotics data marketplace.
