Robot teleoperation data: who takes episodes and on what terms
Updated
Teleoperated demonstrations are recorded one episode at a time on a company's own robots. A few organisations take them from the companies that recorded them, and their own pages say how.
What do buyers ask for?
Robotics Center sells teleoperation demonstrations, manipulation trajectories and navigation datasets through its marketplace, and asks for at least 100 episodes per task with consistent start and end states.

Datoric AI sells a collection of its own, 2,000 manipulation episodes with multi-camera video, joint states and action trajectories, and says failure and recovery data is often as valuable as clean successes for policy robustness.

Who keeps ownership?
Robotics Center requires the seller to own the data or hold distribution rights, and Deepen AI says partners bring selected datasets to market while retaining ownership.

Check the recording platform first
Episodes stored in a fleet or labelling tool carry that tool's terms. 4 of the platforms on our board let themselves train on customer data, so read the row for yours before you list.
